In the 1970's, Ian Mitchell, Burton Averre, Bruce Gary and Cherie Currie, were busy creating hits, touring the world, and riding the wave of international pop stardom. The Bay City Rolers, The Knack, and The Runaways were making people dance and sing to #1 hits such as "Saturday Night", "My Sharona" and "Cherry Bomb". In 1996, former members of these three hit-making groups have united to perform those hits again under the name THE MIX.
"THE MIX is possibly the most exciting union to emerge this year." stated an enthusiastic Chicago deejay upon hearing the news. Worldwide from the USA to Japan and Europe, fans of these three 70's star groups are already demanding tour information by mail, on the Internet :-) and from local radio.
